Apple introduces yearly subscription with monthly billing
It's called 'Monthly Subscriptions with a 12-Month Commitment'
Apple introduces new in-app subscription type – Monthly Subscriptions with a 12-Month Commitment.
It is essentially a yearly subscription with monthly payments. Users will have access to information on payments already made towards the commitment. Cancelling the subscription will honor the commitment too.
Starting today, you can configure this type of subscription in App Store Connect and test it in Xcode. With the exception of the United States and Singapore, monthly subscriptions with a 12-month commitment will be available worldwide to people on iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS Tahoe 26.4, and visionOS 26.4, or later, with the release of iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5, macOS Tahoe 26.5, and visionOS 26.5 in May.
Interestingly, United States and Singapore are the exceptions to new subscription type availability.
