Apple launches second beta round for *OS 26
No new Xcode though
Apple issues beta 2 for iOS/iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26 and visionOS 26.
Xcode 26 is still at beta 1.
Some of the changes that are spotted in new beta include: new Control Center background on iOS increasing text and control legibility; new ringtone; new blue unread badge for unknown senders in Messages; new Apple Music widget.
Release notes include new recovery options allowing to restore device without Mac or PC.
macOS Tahoe now has a toggle to bring back menu background, Finder icon is reversed back to original color scheme – left part is blue and right part is white.
